Terminal 8 is one of the largest container terminals in the world’s busiest container port.  It has an annual throughout capacity of some 2 million twenty-foot equivalent units.

The site is directly opposite the route of the future Route 3 bridge from Stonecutters Island to Tsing Yi.  The site is also visible from the water, and lies directly beneath the flight approach path to Kai Tak Airport.

The features include an administrative building; a maintenance/workshop building; an entry gatehouse; an exit gatehouse; LPG Stores and guardhouses.
